The Basics
ShareFile is third-party service that allows us to exchange sensitive data files behind a secure firewall. Each time a file is added to your account, you will receive the following email:  âPlease access the secure file uploaded by Boston Standard Wealth Management.â Most clients will first use ShareFile a few weeks prior to their initial annual review.
Getting Started / Downloading Documents
- Your first notification email will provide you with a username and a temporary password. Your username will be your email address.
- Two links are always embedded in a ShareFile email: âClick here to downloadâ and âFolder Name.â Either link will take you to the Boston Standard Sharefile log-in page.
- Enter your username (email address) and password. First-time users will be asked to create a permanent password.
- You can now view the shared document.
- Click the document name to download it to your computer.
Uploading Documents
- Uploading documents via Sharefile allows you to securely return updated files and any other document, statement, etc. you wish to share with us securely.
- To access your Sharefile account:
- Click the folder link on from any Sharefile email you received or
- Go to https://bostonstandard.sharefile.com
- Log in with your username and password.
- Click your folder name (click on Folders –> Shared Folders to find your folder name). Or, if you navigated from an email link, you may already be in your folder.
- Click the blue “+â button.
- Click âUpload.â
- Either drag files to the space, or click “Browse files” to navigate to the file you wish to share with us and double-click the file name.
- Repeat until all the files you wish to upload are showing in the window
- Click “Upload“
- You should now see your uploaded files in the folder.
- That’s it! An automated email will alert us that you’ve uploaded documents for us to review.
Forget your Sharefile Password?
- Go to https://bostonstandard.sharefile.com
- Click âForgot Passwordâ
- Input in your email address
- You will be sent a new temporary password.
- If the email address you provided isnât recognized, call us at 781.721.0072. Weâll tell you which email address is attached to your Sharefile account. And, as needed, update your account to a new email address of your choosing.
